Our Irish Wolfhounds
Our beloved Irish Wolfhounds, Seamus and Saoirse, are the heart and soul of Milltown House. Today, the historic home is proudly shared with Seamus—the gentle giant who has become Ireland’s most famous dog—and his graceful companion, Saoirse. Guests are welcomed not just by stunning views and warm hospitality, but also by the towering, affectionate presence of our hounds, who embody the spirit of Irish tradition and charm. A stay at Milltown House isn’t complete without a meet-and-greet (and maybe a cuddle) with Seamus and Saoirse.
Our Location
Walking to town:
From Milltown House's front door, it is only 15 minutes to the pubs, tourist office, and restaurants by Dingle Marina.
We are located on the ‘Western’, ‘Milltown’, or ‘Slea Head Drive’ side of the town.
You cross Milltown Bridge toward the ‘Slea Head Drive’ and then turn immediately left.
We are the prominent waterfront residence on Dingle Harbour; our guests enjoy glorious sea views and an idyllic setting on a quiet and peaceful cul-de-sac road.
Taxis:
A 5-minute taxi ride will take you to the center of Dingle. The cost is normally around €6 per car per journey.
A further surcharge of €1 or €2 per person can sometimes be added at night.
Best to check with the driver before embarking on your short journey.
